This course will provide you with in-depth scientific knowledge of the subject and its application. It will equip you with a strong background in biology, statistical analyses, computing skills, and knowledge necessary to work in different areas of biotechnology.You will be taught by our internationally renowned scientists, in collaboration with internationally excellent Research Centres, including the University of Liverpool Computational Biology Facility, the newly established Centre for Metabolomics, the Centre for Proteomics, and the Centre for Genomic Research and the Materials Innovation Factory.You will be provided with the necessary knowledge and skills to become a professional scientist in your chosen area of biotechnology. Our Biotechnology MSc course has been specifically designed to enhance students’ careers in different biotechnology sectors in a variety of research, product and technology development, and leadership roles.If biotechnology is your interest, upon successful completion of the MSc you may wish to continue with your education by studying for a PhD.

Entry Requirements

You will normally need a 2:1 honours degree, or above, or equivalent.
