City St George’s University of London
The Medical Sciences iBSc provides advanced study in a range of subjects related to medicine. Students can choose from five specialisms, each leading to an Honours degree. These pathways allow students to explore closely connected topics that support and inform modern medical practice.
Students undertaking the iBSc join the final year of the Biomedical Science programme, rather than studying within an isolated cohort.
A key feature of the course is the opportunity to carry out a clinical or biomedical research project. Students can select from a wide variety of topics, working alongside leading clinical and academic researchers.
The programme develops in-depth knowledge of the scientific principles that underpin medical treatments. It also builds a broad set of transferable research and analytical skills, creating a strong foundation for careers in clinical research and across many clinical specialties.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should meet the following criteria to be eligible for the programme:
-Successful completion of at least two years of an MBBS or equivalent medical or dental programme
-Evidence of strong academic standing and permission to intercalate from their home institution.
