The University of Birmingham hosts the Birmingham Centre for BCCT Website Trials and is one of the leading centres in the UK for designing and implementing high-quality clinical trials across a wide range of diseases and clinical settings.
• The programme is taught by active researchers who lead national and international trials from the University of Birmingham’s Clinical Trials Units, two of the UK’s leading centres for trial research.
• Gain knowledge and practical skills to design, plan and deliver efficient and successful clinical trials.
• All students will be offered the opportunity of one week of work experience in one of the two UoB Clinical Trials Units (BCTU or CRCTU).
• Graduates of the MSc Clinical Trials are highly sought after, equipped to take on roles in academia, healthcare, industry, and beyond, contributing to high-impact research that improves patient outcomes worldwide.
• All students will receive employability support.

Masters students will complete seven core modules, totalling 120 credits and will undertake a 60 credit dissertation. Postgraduate Diploma students will take the 120 credits from the taught core modules as per the Masters programme, but will not complete the dissertation. Those seeking a Postgraduate Certificate will take 60 credits from the taught modules. You can transfer from the Certificate to Diploma and from Diploma to the Masters based on appropriate performance.

Intercalating students taking this degree are guaranteed accommodation through the University. Details of the available accommodation can be found here. You do not, however, need to apply through the website as the Accommodation Team will provide a bespoke service to reserve your room.
